Marketing

I have worked in marketing for over 26 years. My responsibilities have included digital marketing, campaign management, lead tracking and social media.

My earlier work experience includes marketing for both architectural and engineering firms for high end clients with multi-million dollar Requests for Proposal (RFPs). Over my 20 year career I developed and maintained databases, built websites, attended conferences and designed all marketing and advertising collateral. In addition, I won a MARCOM Platinum award for web-based training.

For the past 3.5 years I have worked as the Marketing and Multimedia Specialist for BASX Solutions, a local manufacturing company in Central Oregon. I am responsible for managing all aspects marketing in addition to public relations, web development, graphic design, video production and large scale event coordination. Samples of my video work can be seen at on the BASX Solutions YouTube channel.

Proposals

RFPs, RFQs, deadlines, late hours, all nighters. When working on proposals there is no “can’t”. You have to be on your A game at all times.

  1. Step 1. Read the RFP.
  2. Step 2. Pull together the perfect in-house team and external consultants if needed
  3. Step 3. Collaborate on the “message” for the Proposal making sure to address each and every Client Concern
  4. Step 4. Write, revise, write, design! There is only 1 time to make a first impression!
  5. Step 5. Produce! Print, collate, laminate and bind those bad boys!!! NOW you’re looking good!
  6. Step 6. Deliver before the Deadline!

I’ve worked on dozens of proposals for government and private sector clients worth hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars and I never missed a deadline.  Eventually, I was put on the Team and pitched a new service that had never been offered before – a “web-based” Project Management System that I was to design and lead. WE GOT THE JOB!

Conferences / Exhibits / Collateral

Creating for large exhibits is as important as creating the collateral that goes along with it. You want to make an excellent first impression and you want your materials to look smart, seamless and cohesive so your brand is noticed among all the other vendors. Not only that, but as the conference attendee you want to present the very best image possible, professional, intelligent and able to answer any question that comes up about the company.
